The ECDIS Type Specific (Imtech) training provides comprehensive overview of the functionality and operational features of the IMTECH SeaGuide ECDIS system which is built on the Hagenuk ECDIS2000 platform however bears a lot of useful upgrades. The course is fully STCW 2010 and MCA MIN-503(M) compliant and should be taken on the basis of the ECDIS Generic certificate.

Objective:

During the ECDIS Type Specific (Imtech) training participants obtain well-round theoretical and practical knowledge of the IMTECH SeaGuide ECDIS system design and navigational capabilities i.e. Route Planning, Route Monitoring and Check Route functionalities that are included in the system. In addition, delegates are familiarized with the unique display features, ways to receive sensor data on ECDIS screen; calibration and software upgrade procedures, etc.

• System interface of the IMTECH SeaGuide ECDIS system;
• Display functions and calibration procedure;
• Route Planning;
• Route Monitoring and Check Route functions;
• Charts handling;
• Alarms sent by the system;
• Obtaining additional navigational information;
• Chart Maintenance;
• Backups and software upgrade.

Target Audience: Masters and other bridge officers employed on vessel equipped with IMTECH SeaGuide ECDIS system.
