Few people would argue that maritime industry presents one of the most challenging working environments; and a constant professional development is required to stay safe and come up along a career path. It is, therefore, no mere chance that a considerable list of Marine Training is now obligatory for all mariners around the world. Dedicated training centers provide various types of courses while reputable home and international originations such as IMO, MCA or NI, etc. control the quality and standardize the scope of training.

All seagoing personnel are required to come through sufficient safety training, so STCW courses are available in almost every center around the globe. These are highly efficient safety and security trainings for all ranks and different types of vessels which allow developing practical skills of sea survival, medical first aid and care on board, fire fighting, operating rescue crafts and equipment, and acquiring many other useful hands on knowledge.

Also, as there are two major departments on board as Marine Training can be generally divided into two categories. They are Navigator Courses and Marine Engineers Courses. The first category tends to be rather wide as it includes all ship simulator trainings such as BTM/ BRM, Ship Handling and Maneuvering, Radar & ARPA and so on; GMDSS and ECDIS Courses, etc.

Meanwhile, Marine Engineers Courses provide excellent opportunity to spur one’s career as they allow adding additional professions to one’s profile; for instance by taking up High Voltage Electrical Equipment or ‘FRAMO’ Pumping System Operator Course.
