HSE Professional SCUBA Diver
The HSE Professional SCUBA Diver course is an intensive program for professionals and non-divers seeking the qualification of HSE Commercial Scuba Divers. The training includes theoretical and practical parts providing comprehensive information about archeological, media and scientific underwater projects.
Objective:
Upon a completion of the HSE Professional SCUBA Diver course delegates will obtain skills and knowledge required for a safe use of various Commercial SCUBA equipment systems at depths to 30 m and performing basic manual tasks and commercial projects such as shellfish harvesting, police and scientific investigations, media projects, etc.
Course content:
- Diving physics and physiology;
- HSE legislations;
- Projects planning and risk management;
- Diving equipment operation (SCUBA systems, full face masks and half face masks);
- Pre-dive and post-dive checks;
- Decompression table and chamber theory;
- Alternative Air Sources;
- Diving in polluted waters, Night dives;
- Underwater communication systems incl. lifeline signals, hard wire communications and Wireless Through Water Comms;
- Underwater surveying, manual tools, shellfish harvesting;
- Scientific projects;
- Basic Seamanship;
- Emergency situations;
- Dive supervision.
Target Audience: Divers upgrading qualification to HSE Professional SCUBA Diver.
Pre-requisites: Check with your training provider.
Duration: 2 – 4 weeks depending on an initial qualification of the outset.
