The ECDIS Type Specific (MARIS ECDIS900) course is developed to provide detailed overview of equipment functions and operational features of the Simrad MARIS ECDIS900 MK5 and the Simrad MARIS ECDIS900 MK 15 systems. Training is conducted is accordance with IMO model course 1.27, STCW 2010 convention and MCA MIN-503(M) requirements.

Objective:

On successful completion of the ECDIS Type Specific (MARIS ECDIS900) course participants will know functions and control of the above mentioned ECDIS system and perform navigational activities with its aid safely and competently.

Course content:

• User interface;
• Main features of the MARIS ECDIS900 system;
• Chart Work;
• Working with sensors;
• Route planning and monitoring;
• Upload of software updates and back up arrangements;
• Useful navigational tools installed in the system and other user tips;
• Changes between V4.5.x and V4.7.x.

Target Audience: Nautical officers about to operate Simrad Maris ECDIS system onboard of their vessels.
