The Bridge Resource Management (Refresher Course) meets the requirements of STCW 2010 Convention Table A-II/I and presents unique training platform where bridge personnel can enhance their human resource management and decision making skills.

Objectives:

The key goal of the Bridge Resource Management (Refresher Course) is to upgrade and refresh nautical officers’ skills in many aspects concerning personnel management of the bridge crew, particularly safe navigation and methods of human mistake prevention. This includes, but isn’t limited to:

• Clear definition of tasks and responsibilities of each member of the bridge team;
• Maintaining high-level of situational awareness and early breaking of error-chains;
• Developing a comfortable working environment devoid of cultural, religious and national and other issues;
• Upgrading leadership and teambuilding skills;
• Managing workload correctly in order to avoid stress and fatigue within the bridge team, therefore minimizing the chance of human error.
