Tanker Vetting CourseThe Tanker Vetting course is developed for all parties actively involved in tanker vetting and inspections to provide background understanding of procedures that lead to the vetting decision. Training will be useful both to onboard crew and office personnel since the syllabus contains information that facilitates preparations to TMSA and other tanker vessel controls.

Objective:

The main objective of the Tanker Vetting course is to introduce delegates to the intricate process of tanker vetting and so as enable them to prepare proactively to any tanker inspection or make informed decision based on the results of the audit findings.

Course content:

• Regulations overview (STCW, MARPOL, SOLAS, ISGOTT);
• SIRE programme;
• Tanker inspection process;
• Oil Record Book;
• TMSA;
• Vetting reports.

Assessment: Some training centers conclude course with the written assessment.

Target Audience:  COO, Managing Directors of tanker owners, Fleet Manager, DPA, QHSA Manager as well as Management level Deck Officers employed on board of tanker vessels .

Pre-requisites: Some general knowledge about tanker operation or sea-going experience will be an advantage.

Duration: 2 days.
