Vetting Inspection courseThe purpose of the Vetting Inspections course is to provide an overall understanding of various vessel audits and vetting procedures. During the training participants acquire essential knowledge of the vessel control types, inspections proceedings and useful tips regarding preparation to vetting, Post State Control, TMSA and other vessel inspections or audits.

Objective:

At the end of the Vetting Inspections course participants will acquire sufficient knowledge to prepare effectively to various types of vessel inspections such as PSC, vetting, MLC, SMS, etc. They will also develop skills of inspections handling and learn correct ways to complete audit reports and checklists.

Course content:

• Theory of vetting and inspections: history, commercial drivers, types of controls;
• Preparations for inspections, general order of inspections and vetting;
• Vessel Inspection Questionnaires (VIQ concept) used for various audit, SIRE program , CDI Rightship, TMSA;
• Analysis of findings, human error, causes of deficiencies, root cause analysis.

Target Audience:  Nautical and Engine officers responsible for vessel vetting and inspections.
