Surface Supplied Air Diver Restricted Course

The course is developed for divers making first steps towards the career of a commercial diver. The program of the Surface Supplied Air Diver Restricted complies with the IMCA standards and is aimed at the progressive development of diving skills from shallow water dives to 30 m diving operations using surface supplied diving apparatus and various manual and power tools.

Objective:

The goal of the Surface Supplied Air Diver Restricted training is to introduce delegates to the equipment and diving techniques used during the commercial dives to 30 m as well as to train them operation of manual instruments and construction equipment in the underwater environment.

Course content:

• Diving Physics;
• Diver Anatomy, Decompression and Diving Medicine basics;
• Hyperbaric chamber operations;
• Diving equipment, systems and procedures;
• Occupational hazards and legislation;
• Communication between divers;
• Rigging;
• Underwater inspection, search and rescue;
• Manual and power tools, offshore construction basics;
• Water Jetting, Airlifts, Venturi Dredges, & Lift Bags;
• Underwater welding and cutting;
• Diving emergency procedures.

Target Audience: Experienced divers requiring certification as a Commercial Diver.

Duration: 8 – 14 weeks.
