The NOGEPA 2.3B & 2.7B -F Coxswain Man Overboard Boat & Coxswain Free-Fall Lifeboat is a 1-day revalidation training which is taken biannually in order to upgrade skills acquired during the Basic Coxswain Man Overboard Boat & Coxswain Free-Fall Lifeboat course.

Objective:

The aim of the training is to refresh skills and knowledge obtained during the original training in particular connected with a safe launching and handling lifeboats and survival crafts in case of an offshore emergency. The program also features effective communications, first aid practices, and emergency situation handling techniques.

Course content:

• Regular inspections of survival crafts;
• Safety drills and reacting to alarms;
• Preparation of survival craft to launching;
• Effective communication during the rescue operation;
• Embarkation and disembarkation of passengers.

Target Audience:  Personnel with the designated duties to be coxswain on survival craft.

Pre-requisites: valid NOGEPA 2.3A & 2.7A -F Basic Coxswain Man Overboard Boat & Coxswain Free-Fall Lifeboat course certificate or an equivalent, NOGEPA 0.5 Basic Safety Training certificate will be an advantage.

Duration: 1 day.

Validity: 2 years.
