The High Speed Man Overboard Boat Coxswain Refresher course is biannual refresher training which should be taken by personnel of oil rigs and offshore vessels designated to helm high speed MOB crafts. The program puts the premium on practical exercises so as to ensure high competence of search and rescue personnel.

Objective:

The main goal of the High Speed Man Overboard Boat Coxswain Refresher training is to revive knowledge received during the original course and upgrade boat handling and casualty management skills which have been trained in course of onboard drills.

Course content:

• SAR operations and search patterns;
• Launch and handling of HSMOB craft;
• Communication during search operations and casualty management;
• Use of Radar, GPS, AIS, VHF radio.

Target Audience: Offshore personnel designated as coxswains of High Speed Man Overboard Boat requiring revalidation of the original course certificates.

Pre-requisites: Valid initial High Speed Man Overboard Boat Coxswain course certificate.

Duration: 2 days.

Validity: 2 years.
