HUET with CA-EBS
The aim of the HUET with CA-EBS training is to prepare offshore personnel who have to travel by helicopter fairly regularly to the specific pre-flight and in-flight requirements of helicopter transfer and emergency response that might be required in case of water ditching.
Objectives:
Among main objectives of the HUET with CA-EBS training is to provide delegates with vital helicopter escape skills in case of helicopter emergency and teach them operation of the Category A Emergency Breathing System i.e. CA-EBS equipment which is now widely used in the offshore industry.
Course Content:
• Helicopter Safety & Escape introduction;
• Pre-boarding and In-flight safety procedures;
• In flight emergency actions;
• Donning of life jacket and CA-EBS system including “buddy neck”;
• Practical emergency ditching and helicopter escape;
• In water CA-EBS exercises.
Target Audience: Offshore personnel who are transferred to their worksites by helicopters. The HUET with CA-EBS course will be particularly convenient for seafarers and offshore staff working in UK/North Sea area.
Pre-requisites Please note that starting from 26th of March 2018, OPITO implements new entry requirements for the CA-EBS training programs.
