NOGEPA 2.3B Coxswain Man Overboard Boat
The NOGEPA 2.3B Coxswain Man Overboard Boat is a refresher course of NOGEPA 2.3A Coxswain Man Overboard Boat training. It should be taken every two years to ensure continual competence of offshore personnel designated as crewmembers of MOB-boat (placed on offshore installations and vessels).
Objective:
The main learning objective of the NOGEPA 2.3B Coxswain Man Overboard Boat course is to upgrade sailing and search and rescue skills of assigned MOB-boat crewmembers obtained during the initial training. The focus of the Refresher training is on practical drills including boat handling and rescue operations.
Course content:
• MOB-boat maintenance and preparations;
• Boat handling techniques;
• Getting a near-drowning person on board;
• Complex of MOB-boat handling operations from launching to getting back onboard;
• Planning and executing SAR operation, search patterns.
Target Audience: Holders of NOGEPA 2.3A or NOGEPA 2.3B certificates requiring revalidation.
Pre-requisites: Valid NOGEPA 2.3A or NOGEPA 2.3B certificates.
Duration: 1 day.
Validity: 2 years.
