HSE Closed Bell Course

The HSE Closed Bell course provides the top diver qualification in the UK HSE certification scheme. It is available only for experienced Surface Supplied Top UP divers with minimum 50 dives. The training features diving in a Closed Bell using oxygen and helium (mixed gas) breathing mixtures as well as saturation diving techniques.

Objective:

On successful completion of the HSE Closed Bell course students will be able to dive safely at depths down to 100 m using Closed Bell technology and oxygen or mixed gas breathing mixtures. The course also focuses on the offshore construction technologies and saturation diving.

Course content:

• Diver anatomy and diving physics;
• Closed bell operations, bellman duties;
• Saturation diving technology and procedure;
• Under pressure;
• Underwater offshore construction operations;
• Decompression;
• Emergency procedures and diver medicine.

Target Audience: Experienced HSE Offshore Divers upgrading their qualification to Closed Bell diving.

Duration: 4 weeks.
