The course is designed in accordance with requirements of Paragraph 1 – 3 of Section V/2 of STCW convention and is targeted at officers of and operational level personnel responsible for passengers’ safety on Passenger vessels.

Objective:

Upon successful completion of the Crowd Management Training; Safety Training for Personnel Providing Direct Services to Passengers in Passenger Spaces; Crisis and Human Behavior Management Training; (Operational level) course delegates will demonstrate the following competence and abilities:

• Profound knowledge of Passenger vessel shipboard emergency procedures;
• Crowd management skills in different situations including crisis scenarios;
• Expertise in ship life-saving equipment and ability to demonstrate its’ application;
• Deep understanding of human behavior in an emergency and competence to deal with panic and distress on board;
• Providing competent assistance to the disabled passengers during embarkation /disembarkation;
• Coordinating resources in course of emergency response and establishing efficient communication both with passengers and personnel.

Course content:

• Passenger vessels layout and control plans;
• Ship emergency procedures and life-saving equipment;
• Crowd management on Passenger vessels;
• Human behavior in crisis situation;
• Safety Training for Personnel Providing Direct Services to Passengers in Passenger Spaces;
• Assisting passengers en route to muster, embarkation stations with special focus on the disabled and other groups requiring special attention of the crew;
• Effective communication during the emergency.

Target Audience: Operational level officers and personnel of Passenger vessels in charge of passengers safety according to muster list.

Duration: 4 days.
