Offshore environment is known to be generally hostile and presents a variety of risks to human health and life. Therefore, it’s vitally important to have a qualified first aider in a team. Such professional training can be acquired during the Offshore First Aid (HSE) course. This training is developed within the terms of the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 and prepares personnel responsible for the first aid on the offshore units.

The program of the course includes cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) with the help of various devices; first aid to casualty who is bleeding, unconscious or in shock; diagnosing of minor and major injuries and illnesses and appropriate first help and actions; transportation of sick and injured and a lot more.

The is also an Offshore First Aid (HSE) (Refresher) course during which participants not only polish their skills through the series of exercises, but also learn to cope with multiple victims and practice in communication with back-up doctor ashore and try to administer first aid under his guidance.

The Advanced Offshore First Aid Module focuses on pre-hospital care. Modules include Casualty Management, Medical Emergency Drugs, Ballistic Trauma Control, etc.
