The BOSIET with Travel Safely by Boat (TSbB) training is a course developed by OPITO specialists with the view to introduce personnel new to the marine oil&gas industry to the specific hazards related to the offshore installations, special sea survival techniques, safety equipment used offshore and correct ways of conducting boat transfers to and from offshore worksites.

Objectives:

Upon the completion of the BOSIET with Travel Safely by Boat (TSbB) training participants will achieve following results:

• Recognize most common offshore hazards and ways to controls particular dangers to humans and environment;
• Will be able to identify basic offshore safety regulations and introduce safety practices onboard/at their worksites;
• Follow helicopter emergency procedures, use emergency breathing systems (EBS) competently and perform helicopter escape safely and efficiently;
• Be competent in sea survival and first aid;
• Demonstrate the correct use of firefighting equipment and organized confide space escape including obscured visibility conditions;
• Be able to identify dangers connected with offshore boat transfers and practice safe travelling by boat.

• Safety induction and guidance;
• Fire Fighting and emergency equipment;
• Self Rescue and first aid;
• Sea Survival theory and practice;
• Helicopter Safety including EBS and emergency escape;
• Travel Safely by Boat (TSbB) theory session and practical exercises.

Target Audience: Offshore personnel new to the marine oil&gas industry who will be/are transferred to the installation by boat.

Duration: 3 – 4 days.

Validity: 4 years.
