ECDIS Type Specific (ChartWorld)
The ECDIS Type Specific (ChartWorld) is conducted in accordance with STCW 2010 and ISM code and provides an all-round familiarization with ECDIS ChartWorld system and its eGlobe G2 software in particular. The course is a mixture of theoretical knowledge and practical simulator exercises.
Objectives:
The aim of the ECDIS Type Specific (ChartWorld) training is to introduce nautical officers to the system special features and software capabilities for their most efficient use as a navigational tool onboard of modern vessels.
Course content:
• ECDIS ChartWorld user interface and basic qualities;
• Chart Work;
• Operation of system sensors;
• Route planning;
• Route monitoring;
• Chart updates;
• Manual corrections and backups;
• Navigational tools installed in the system and other useful operational tips.
Target Audience: Navigational officers required to work with ECDIS ChartWorld system.
Pre-requisites: ECDIS Course (Generic) certificate.
Duration: 1 – 3 days.
