The Working at Height (Online Course) is developed to provide introduction to the Working at Heights safety requirements to the offshore personnel. The course mainly features correct ways of using harnesses and other safety equipment as well as safe methods of accessing the elevated constructions i.e. MEWPs, ladders and scaffolds.

Objectives:

The aims of the Working at Height (Online Course) course are to:

• Provide awareness of the working at height;
• Familiarize students with dangers associated with the working at heights operations in the offshore industry;
• Identify safe methods of accessing worksites located at heights;
• Demonstrate the correct ways of using the harnesses and other safety equipment;
• Make students aware of the principles of operation of the man riding devices;
• Describe the rescue procedure of the person suffering from the suspension syncope or other traumas.

Course content:

• Definition of the Working at Height;
• Risks and hazards of WAH;
• MEWPs, ladders, scaffolds: safety requirements for selection and operation;
• Safe methods of Working at Height;
• Selection, inspection and usage of harnesses, restraint systems, fall arrest, etc.;
• Safe usage of cranes and man riding winches for personnel transfer;
• Working at height traumas and rescue procedures.

Target Audience: Offshore specialists requiring general knowledge of Working at Height.

Duration: 1 hour.
