The Working at Heights and Rescue Training is designed for the personnel engaged in the offshore and wind industries and whose professional activity is connected with operations with high risk of falling from heights e.g. wind turbines, offshore cranes and so on.


The core aim of the Working at Heights and Rescue Training is to provide delegates with the comprehensive skills and knowledge required for a safe and efficient work at heights and occasional performance of the rescue activities and evacuation from high positioned structures should the emergency situation occur there.

Course content:

• Working at Heights occupational hazards and risk analysis;
• Current legislation;
• Necessary abbreviations and toolbox talk;
• Working at Heights planning and safe working practices (fall arrest, restraint, fall protection, etc.);
• Safety equipment, pre-use inspection and fitting;
• Rescue equipment and techniques;
• Evacuation from heights and first medical aid;
• Practical training;

Assessment: there is a practical assessment during the practice session of the training.

Target Audience: Offshore and wind industries workers involved in operations on high positioned units.

Duration: 2 – 4 days.

Note: Personnel interested in employment in the North Sea sector might be required the GWO Working at Heights and Rescue Training certificate.
