The Welding Inspection Course for Ship Officers is developed to provide officers or any personnel who might be involved in supervision of welding work with a sufficient knowledge to recognize deficiencies in hot work especially performed on a hull, structural members or machinery and appreciate international standards of welding operations. Course program explains different welding technologies and methods along with ship building requirements related to the topic as well.

Objective:

It is expected that upon completion of the Welding Inspection Course for Ship Officers delegates will obtain the following skills and knowledge:

• Possess thorough understanding of various welding techniques in order to associate given repair or fabrication with a required method;
• Recognize international shipbuilding and repair standards including requirements for qualifications and materials;
• Perform welding inspections professionally.
