Underwater Welding
The Underwater Welding training is the most advanced qualification amongst Commercial Diving courses. Most training centers offer diversified training depending on the entering level of their applicants. As a result, the course program and duration vary considerably. It might be just a practical 1 day seminar or a fully-fledged Welding Course with theoretical modules and exams expanding for the fortnight and even longer.
Objective:
The main goal of the Underwater Welding training is to provide delegates with the comprehensive understanding of the wet welding process including safety precautions and necessary equipment. The hand-on training is an inalienable part of the course either.
Course content:
The syllabus of the course depends of the chosen level and standard (ISO 15618-1, AWS D3.6M, DCBC or others). As a minimum requirement, it will lead to the following learning outcomes:
• Basic Level – single and multipass fillet welds in plate;
• Intermediate – single and multipass fillet welds in plate or pipe to plate;
• Advanced level – welding pipe to pipe in various welding positions.
Target Audience: Commercial Divers of all levels.
Pre-requisites: Internationally recognized Commercial Diving qualification, commercial diving medical certificate.
Duration: 1 – 14 days.
