Tropical Further Offshore Emergency Training (TFOET)
Objective:
Refresh knowledge acquired during previous training as well as practice and demonstrate emergency response skills which are impossible to train during usual offshore drills and personnel safety session offshore with the premium on helicopter escape, fire fighting and self rescue in conditions of totally obscured visibility.
Course Content:
• Update on safety procedures for the tropical region;
• Helicopter flight emergency actions and escape;
• Use of firefighting equipment from hand held fire extinguishers to handling hose reels;
• Self rescue from smoke-filled rooms and profound emergency aid techniques;
Target Audience: All offshore personnel and seafarers travelling regularly to worksites by helicopters who need to meet OPITO certification requirements.
Pre-requisites: Valid BOSIET or T-BOSIET or FOET or T-FOET certificate. Some centers might also ask for a medical fitness certificate prior to commencement.
Validity: 4 years.
