The H2S with Breathing Apparatus course is designed to provide comprehensive understanding about sources of hydrogen sulphide, ways of its identification, hazardous impact that the gas produces on human health and protective measures including operation of self-contained breathing-apparatus. The program is a blend of theoretical and practical sessions.

Objective:

By the end of the H2S with Breathing Apparatus training delegates will:

• Possess sufficient understanding of hydrogen sulphide properties, its dangers for human health and precautionary measures that must be in place at a worksite;
• Be able to identify potential sources of H2S and know how to measure the level of gas, remember acceptable workplace exposure limits;
• Adhere to emergency procedures on discovering H2S;
• Recognize different types of breathing apparatuses that can be used including rescue sets and be able to operate them correctly.
