Offshore Lifeboat Coxswain Further Practice Course

The Offshore Lifeboat Coxswain Further Practice course is designed to allow offshore coxswains practicing their skills and knowledge they acquired during the initial Offshore Lifeboat Coxswain Initial Training (Twin Fall), but were unable to put into practice at the worksite.

Objective:

The key goal of the Offshore Lifeboat Coxswain Further Practice course is to create conditions for the real life practice of offshore coxswains so as to enable them demonstrating their knowledge of emergency procedures and navigational capabilities.

Course content:

• Disembarkation and transfer of personnel from TEMPSC;
• Launching and maneuvering of TEMPSC;
• Maintaining communication;
• Safety of personnel and TEMPSC;
• Navigating the boat to safety.

Target Audience: Offshore coxswains who would like to revalidate their certificates.

Pre-requisites: Valid BOSIET or FOET certificates as well as an in- date Offshore Lifeboat Coxswain certificate or adequate alternative.

Duration: 1 day.

Validity: 2 years.
