Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Diver Training

The Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Diver Course is developed as an addition to the Commercial Diving training and focuses on the special methods of underwater technical analysis of materials, joints and mechanisms without interfering with their work.

Objective:

On completion of the Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Diver Course successful delegates will be able to:

• Explain theoretical basis of subsea visual inspection;
• Perform underwater visual inspections of hulls, bridges, offshore constructions and pipelines professionally;
• Gain enough qualification to perform NDT of subsea systems;
• Go through the CSWIP 3.1U examination

Course content:

• Subsea Visual Testing;
• Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI);
• Liquid Penetrant Testing (LPT) Level I;
• Cathodic Protection Testing and inspection;
• High-Pressure Tank Visual Inspection;
• Ultrasonic testing.

Target Audience: Professional commercial divers who would like to upgrade their qualification with Non-Destructive Testing skills.

Pre-requisites: Valid commercial diving certificate issued by an acknowledged certification society and an in-date diver’s medical certificate.

Duration: 5 days.
