The Marlins English Language Test for Cruise Ship Staff is designed in response to the specific demands of the Cruise ship industry. It puts a premium on the personnel/ guests relations and is particularly useful for the hotel management personnel.

In comparison to the ordinary ISF Marlins English Language Test, the Marlins English Language Test for Cruise Ship Staff consists of 50 questions divided into 5 categories. Test is available online or in one of the dedicated training centers.

Test content:

• Listening comprehension (14 questions);
• Grammar (19 questions);
• Vocabulary (12 questions);
• Reading (1 questions);
• Time and numbers (4 questions).

Assessment: the total marks will be calculated as an overall percentage of all questions.  The recommended time for completion of the test is 30 minutes; however no strict time limit is imposed.

Note: Students are allowed to return and change question answer at any time throughout a test or fill in the unanswered question.

Target Audience:  Cruise ships and passenger vessel personnel especially interested in the job a hotel or restaurant sector.
