Kirby Morgan Helmet Maintenance and Repair Technician Course

The Kirby Morgan Helmet Maintenance and Repair Technician course is designed to provide basic repair and maintenance to personal Kirby Morgan equipment. The program is targeted at experienced commercial divers, tenders and supervisors and doesn’t include modules concerning fiberglass and gel coat repair.

Objective:

On successful completion of the Kirby Morgan Helmet Maintenance and Repair Technician training delegates will be able to perform initial set up and maintenance of KMDSI Helmets and BandMasks as well as conduct routine repair and inspections of any Kirby Morgan equipment.

Course content:

• First stage regulators, whips and gauges of KMDSI Helmets and BandMasks;
• Helmet and BandMask inspections, adjustments, and overhauls;
• Face port insert testing and security;
• Removal and repairing the side block, removal of weights;
• KMDSI set-up and maintenance checklist;
• Kirby Morgan equipment Operations and Maintenance Manuals.

Target Audience: Professional divers, supervisors and technicians.

Pre-requisites: Check with your training provider.

Duration: 3 days.

Validity: 3 years.
