ISM Lead Auditors Course
The ISM Lead Auditors Course is intended for maritime professionals who are assigned to lead or be involved in a conduction of the ISM audits. During the training delegates acquire not only a comprehensive familiarization with the International Safety Management Code as well as accompanying safety and environmental acts and guidelines, but also practical skills of audit handling.
Objective:
On successful completion of the ISM Lead Auditors Course participants will:
• Obtain sufficient knowledge about ISM Code and appreciate its value as an efficient ship management system;
• Realize mechanisms behind the ISM Code implementation and appreciate importance of the SMS system required standards’ continual maintenance;
• Have a sufficient kills to develop a correct auditing plan, prepare and lead an ISM audit professionally;
• As well as write a lucid non-conformity ISM audit report and summary;
• Acknowledge the importance of resolving non-conformities and checking completed corrective actions.

• Introduction to the ISM Code – history and implications;
• Content and objectives of the ISM Code;
• ISM Code as a management system;
• Implementation of the ISM Code, Master’s responsibility and authority;
• Role of DPA;
• ISM audit preparations and requirements;
• Reports, summaries, corrective actions.
Target Audience: Maritime professionals of any kind.
