The ISM Code Familiarization for Ratings course is intended to provide basic understanding of the International Safety Management Code and requirements it imposes on the Safety Management System of a vessel to the junior crew members.

Objective:

The key objective of the ISM Code Familiarization for Ratings course is to introduce participants to the principles of safe, accident free and environmentally friendly vessel management which lie at the root of ISM Code. The course delivers the latest version of the standards and explains the co-relation between ISM code and vessel Safety Management System.

• Implementation of ISM code on a vessel;
• Reports, audits and inspections;

Target Audience: Seafarers employed on board of merchant fleet and offshore vessels.
