The IDSA Level 4 (Closed Bell/ Mixed Gas Diver) course is the most advanced in the IDSA certification scheme. It is focused on the deep sea dives down to 100 m with the use of surface-supplied breathing equipment, closed bell and gas mixture.

Objective:

The key objective of the IDSA Level 4 (Closed Bell/ Mixed Gas Diver) training is to equip students with the skills and knowledge to plan and execute safe dives in a closed bell, perform duties of a Bellman and a deck chamber operator, prepare gas mixtures according to current international guidelines.

Course content:

• Diving theory review – physics, diving and decompression tables;
• Chamber operations;
• Closed bell, Bellman duties;
• Pre-dive planning and equipment checking and maintenance;
• Dive operations with the use of Nitrox, Trimix and Heliox;
• Preparation of gas mixtures, limitations and guidelines;
• Nitrogen narcosis;
• Diving medicine;
• Emergency protocols.

Target Audience: Offshore Commercial Divers expanding their qualification to IDSA Level 4 specialists.

Duration: Up to 10 weeks.
