IDSA Level 1 (Commercial SCUBA Diver) Course

The IDSA Level 1 (Commercial SCUBA Diver) course is the first training in the International Diving Schools Association’s certification scheme. The program contains theoretical and practical modules as well as an assessment.

Objective:

On completion of the IDSA Level 1 (Commercial SCUBA Diver) delegates should acquire sufficient competence to conduct commercial dive operations using open circuit self-contained air breathing equipment and perform elementary tasks at depths down to 30m.

Course content:

• Diving theory and principles of SCUBA and Surface Supply diving;
• Risks of diving operations;
• Rigging;
• Use of lifting bags;
• Search and recovery techniques;
• Basic hand tools;
• Diver’s communication;
• Visual inspections techniques;
• Diving emergency response, rescue.

Target Audience: Divers acquiring qualification of a Commercial SCUBA Diver.

Pre-requisites: Check with your training provider.

Duration: Up to 6 weeks.
