Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET)
The Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET) training is designed by OPITO specialists to provide offshore personnel who have to travel by helicopter fairly regularly with necessary individual and group survival skills and knowledge in case of helicopter water ditching.
Objective:
As a result of Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET) delegates are expected to demonstrate a successful knowledge of preparation for ditching or emergency landing protocol as well as practice emergency escape after water ditching with the correct use of Emergency Breathing System.
Course Content:
• Helicopter Safety & Escape;
• Pre boarding briefing;
• Safe boarding module;
• In flight safety;
• Safe disembarkation;
• In flight emergency actions;
• Use of EBS equipment;
• Practical Emergency escape Breathing System training;
• Practical emergency ditching and escape training;
• In Water Survival techniques.
Target Audience: Offshore personnel and seafarers travelling regularly to worksites by helicopters.
Pre-requisites: None.
Validity: 4 years.
