HSE Offshore Top Up Course

The HSE Offshore Top Up course is designed for the experienced Surface Supply divers requiring  to extend their qualification to dives from a Wet Bell and perform a number of Offshore Construction operations including for the Renewables industry from the Dynamically Positioned vessel.

Objective:

The main goal of the HSE Offshore Top Up course is to train delegates to dive using Wet Bells as well as Hot Suits and a multitude of Offshore Construction equipment. Also the course program features dives from the DP Diving Support Vessels and special instruments used in the Oil and Gas and Renewables industries.

Course content:

• Introduction to Oil and Gas and Offshore Renewables infrastructures;
• “Diving at Work” legislation;
• Diving from a Wet Bell;
• Hot Suit system;
• DP DSV, alerts systems;
• Surface umbilical management systems (SUMS);
• Use of Nitrox in the offshore operations;
• Underwater offshore operations;
• Mid water works;
• Decompression;
• Surface Standby Diver Rescue Drills;
• Emergency situations management.

Target Audience: Experienced HSE Surface Supplied Divers progressing to HSE Offshore Top Up Diver qualification.

Pre-requisites: First aid and Oxygen Administration certificates; HSE Professional SCUBA Diver or an equivalent, HSE Surface Supplied Diver certificate or an equivalent and HSE Commercial Diving Medical.

Duration: 4 weeks.
