The Deck Decompression Chamber Operator course is developed to introduce students to the functions and operation procedures of the Deck Decompression Chamber typically used on board of Diving Support Vessels. The program includes theoretic and practical modules to ensure participants ability to operate the chamber safely and effectively for the diver’s team benefit.

Objective:

The key leaning outcome of the Deck Decompression Chamber Operator course is the competent operation of any kind of DDC with the full use of its capabilities and successful assessment upon completion of the training.

Course content:

• Decompression tables;
• Twin-lock DDC design and systems;
• DDC operation procedures;
• Practical exercises including emergency drills.

Assessment: there is a written examination at the end of the course as well as a practical test.

Target Audience: Diving personnel, Diving Supervisors, Assistant Life Support Technicians, MDTs, etc.

Pre-requisites: Valid diving or related professional certificate.
