The Crisis Management and Human Behavior Refresher Training is developed in accordance with STCW Regulation V/2, paragraph 3 and should be taken every 5 years by Passenger vessels personnel designated to take charge over passengers in a crisis situation onboard in case they fail to prove the achieved level of competence for the past 5 years i.e. haven’t s documented seatime in a relevant position.

Objective:

The objective of the Crisis Management and Human Behavior Refresher Training is to reconstruct and structure knowledge obtained during the initial course with the focus on the ship emergency procedures and their implication in case of crisis situation onboard; passengers and junior crew members handling throughout mustering, embarkation, evacuation and so on, coping with human stress and panic their effects.

Course content:

• Ship layout and contingency planning;
• Ship emergency procedures;
• Human Behavior in an emergency situation;
• Team practical tasks.

Assessment: there is no formal assessment.

Target Audience: Officers and other personnel of passenger vessels assigned to look after people onboard in case of any unforeseen event.

Pre-requisites: Crisis Management and Human Behavior initial course certificate acquired within the past five years.

Duration: 1 day.
