The ECDIS Type Specific (Consilium) course is developed for navigational officers in order to familiarize them with the functions and special operational features of the Consilium-S ECDIS system. The training complies with the requirements of the STCW 2010 convention, IMO Model course 1.27 and MCA MIN-503(M).

Objective:

During the ECDIS Type Specific (Consilium) course delegates are taught navigational characteristics of the Consilium-S ECDIS system, its setting up parameters, chart works and necessary maintenance. They also acquire practical knowledge of conducting watchkeeping duties with the aid of this particular ECDIS equipment, learn to recognize various alarms and obtain additional data from the display.

• Using sensors in the system operation;
• Chart Work;
• Track planning;
• Track monitoring;
• Navigational tools installed in the system;
• Uploading software license and charts updates;
• Backups management;
• Alarms.
