The Confined Space Awareness course is a first in row of trainings related to one of the most hazardous working environments i.e. confined space. This course provides introduction to the risks associated with operating in such conditions as well as planning and permits required for the safe and successful work there.

Objectives:

Upon completion of the Confined Space Awareness training delegates will be familiar with the basic legislation connected with confined space; identify dangers involved in the operations conducted in the places with the restricted means for entrance or exit and be able to plan a safe entrance and exit from the confined space.

Course content:

• Definition of the Confined Space;
• Industry related legislation;
• Hazards associated with a confined space, entrance plan and permit;
• Confined space rescue equipment and techniques;
• Stand-by person and his role;
• Entry requirements;
• Emergency preparedness.

Assessment: There might be oral questionnaire at the end of the day or written test; no formal assessment included.

Target Audience: Confined spaces entrants, attendants, and supervisors.

Duration: 1 day.
