Closed Bell / Saturation Diver Training

The Closed Bell / Saturation Diver Course is open to the experienced commercial divers with hundreds of dives logged. The program is focused on the specific equipment used for deep sea dives i.e. Closed Bell and mixed gas breathing equipment and saturation diving procedures and possible emergencies.

Objective:

The main goal of the training is to introduce students to saturation diving techniques including:

• Efficient use of closed bell and gas mixtures;
• Safe dives down to 100 m incl. precautionary measures;
• Use of underwater welding and cutting equipment, hydraulic tool, Non-destructive testing for Oil and gas operations and pipeline repair.

Course content:

• Diver physics;
• Closed bell characteristics, Bellman duties;
• Gas breathing mixtures physics and preparation rules;
• Kirby Morgan helmet operation and maintenance;
• Saturation diving procedures, live under pressure;
• Emergency drills and procedures;
• Diving medicine;
• Decompression.

Target Audience: Experienced Air and SCUBA divers progressing to Closed Bell divers.

Pre-requisites: Check the list with your training provider.

Duration: Up to 20 days.
