LCHS OilThe Liquid Cargo Handling Simulator (Oil) training is developed for tanker personnel primarily responsible for cargo and ballast handling. The program is mainly practical and complies with IMO model course 2.06, Oil Tanker Cargo and Ballast Handling. Some training centers provide separate trainings for Management and Operational level personnel.

Objective:

After the Liquid Cargo Handling Simulator (Oil) training delegates will possess following skills and knowledge:

• Comprehensive understanding of various tanker vessels’ layouts and systems;
• Practical training in cargo planning, loading and unloading cargos including emergency situations;
• Advanced control of ship stability and seaworthiness;
• Operation of pumps, piping system and other tanker equipment.

Course content:

• Tanker vessels design and equipment;
• Cargo system structure and operation;
• Cargo handling procedures simulator training;
• Ballast system practical training – maintaining of stability and seaworthiness;
• Oil spill prevention;
• Emergency situations training.

Target Audience: Masters, Chief Officers, Deck Officers, Cargo Operators and Supervisors employed onboard of crude oil and oil product tankers.

Pre-requisites: Previous tanker experience will be considered as an advantage.

Duration: 4 days.
