Bridge Resource Management – Tug
The Bridge Resource Management – Tug training is conducted in the Full Mission Tug Simulation De-briefing Room and is targeted at upgrading trainees’ watchkeeping skills in port and ocean towing.
Objective:
The key objective of the Bridge Resource Management – Tug course is to develop tug deck officers’ navigational skills including towing, barge handling, vessel escort and support, proper log keeping and voyage planning and so on.
Course content:
• Situational awareness on the tug;
• Efficient bridge resource management procedures;
• Safe navigation procedures when in port and in deep sea;
• Advanced workboats/ tugs handling techniques.
Target Audience: Tug masters and deck crew.
Pre-requisites: CoC certificate.
Duration: 3 days.
