During Bridge Resource Management (Leadership and Teamwork) at Management Level course trainees learn to apply principles of the Bridge Resource Management (BRM) on the advanced level. Training syllabus is based on the requirements of the Section A-II/2 of STCW Convention as amended.

Objective:  

Upon completion of the Bridge Resource Management (Leadership and Teamwork) at Management Level participants will upgrade their HR management and navigational skills with the premium on Situational Awareness, Effective Communications and teambuilding, Human Error Factor and resulting stress and fatigue management, shipboard emergency  preparedness.

Course content:

• Bridge personnel team management principles and advanced techniques;
• Situational awareness;
• Effective communications;
• Leadership and teambuilding on the bridge;
• Human error factor, stress and fatigue, workload management;
• Decision Making and Contingency Planning;
• Bridge simulator exercises.

Target Audience: Masters, Chief Officers, Tug Masters, Pilots, Superintendents, etc.

Pre-requisites: previous sea-going experience and knowledge of BRM principles.

Duration: 5 days.
