The Ship Stability and Trim for Containers is an advanced training specially developed to provide profound understanding of trim and stability calculations attributed to container ships. Course includes theoretical sessions and case studies.

Objective:

The key goal of the Ship Stability and Trim for Containers course is to obtain detailed knowledge of hydrostatical calculations appropriate for container vessels which includes, but is not limited to calculation of entry weights, container number, adjusting ballast to meet the required trim, draft, bending and so on, intact stability, calculations of stability during at sea, etc.

Course content:

• Basic Ship Stability and Trim course revision;
• Container distribution rules and stability and trim calculations;
• Adjusting pre-sailing ballast, checklists;
• IMO Wind and rolling criteria;
• Cargo discharging, Departure, IMDG, plans;
• Other valid documents and regulations.

Target Audience: Deck officers; however, most profit will be exerted by Chief Officers and 2nd Officers wanting to be promoted to Chief Mate of Container ships.
