ADAS Occupational SSBA Part 3 Course

The ADAS Occupational SSBA Part 3 course is developed for Part 2 divers expanding their qualification to 50 m dives with the use of wet bells, deck decompression chambers and other advanced equipment attributed to the offshore construction industry.

Objective:

Upon completion of the ADAS Occupational SSBA Part 3 training delegates will achieve significant competence to:

• Perform commercial dives to 50 m with the help of surface-supplied breathing apparatus;
• Utilize Hydraulic equipment at depths to 50 m;
• Conduct decompression dives using in water decompression and SurDO2;
• Act as chamber operators;
• Dive in hot water suits;
• Participate in diving operation using wet bells.

Course content:

• Review of diving theory;
• Occupational Health and Safety;
• Utilization and maintenance of surface-supplied breathing equipment;
• Underwater deployment for a surface-supplied diving operation to 50m;
• Underwater operations with hydraulic tools;
• Underwater welding and cutting;
• Offshore construction operations;
• Duties as an hyperbaric chamber attendant;
• Maintenance and operation of a twin-lock compression chamber;
• Hot water suit and hot water supply system operations guidelines;
• Wet bell diving operations;
• Practical dive using an Enriched Air Nitrox (EANx);
• Diving emergencies and rescue operations, decompression, standby.

Target Audience: Part 2 Commercial divers expanding qualification to Deep Sea Commercial Divers.

Pre-requisites:

• Valid ADAS Part 2 certificate.
• Diver’s Medical certificate (see additional requirements);
• Internationally acknowledged valid Basic First Aid with and Advanced Resuscitation and CPR and O2 management certificate (within 12 months) from Red Crescent/St. John Ambulance or equivalent organization.

Note: the ADAS Occupational SSBA Part 3 training can be conducted simultaneously with the ADAS SSBA Part 2 training.

Duration: 4 weeks.
