Needless to say that welding is one of the most useful skills on board of sea-going vessel. Usually at least one of the crew is required to be a qualified welder, so getting expertise in Welding Courses raises chances to get a job considerably.

Apart from the Basic Welding and Cutting training, there are other more specific courses like for instance Oxy-Acetylene Welding and Cutting which is developed to provide knowledge of dealing with oxy-acetylene torch and consumables. It also starts from welding fundamentals, safety hazards and protective equipment. Then, however,  it describes equipment and accessories, process of setting up, selection, handling and storage. Much attention is given to practical exercises.

The Welding & Brazing of Stainless Steel course overviews the basics; and then covers such topics like weldability of stainless steel, welding electrodes to be used for SS, numerous wear factors and compatible hardfacing alloys.

At the same time there is a management course. The Welding Inspection Course for Ship Officers is designed to enable management personnel to recognize the necessity and quality of welding job. Course program includes familiarization with ship and welding materials and weldability; welding process, uses and limitations. Students also conduct a welding inspection using ISO Guidance on Quality Levels for Imperfections.
