Offshore Training proves to be extremely versatile; and not all its branches are serving the Oil&Gas industry. For instance, Kongsberg Maritime has developed the whole category of training devoted to Subsea and Marine Robotics. These courses are aimed for survey and oceanographic industries personnel; and teach to operate and perform maintenance of company’s AUVs (Autonomous Underwater Vehicle).

The AUV Operations Introduction Course will be useful for office, project or technical personnel who need to keep track with AUV technology, but who won’t be dedicated to its operation. During the course, delegates are familiarized with KM Seaglider, Remus, HUGIN and MUNIN AUV and briefed about mission planning and replay, pipeline tracking and other related software.

More advanced is AUV Management Course. It is designed for offshore personnel involved in operation or maintenance of MUNIN or HUGIN AUV. Training program covers launch and recovery procedures, special software operation, data monitoring and verification, maintenance techniques, etc.

Kongsberg’s Underwater Mapping Department also presents a range of UMAP Hydrographic echo sounders courses suitable both for operators and maintenance staff. There are such courses as Sis Operator Course, EA Operator Course, EA Maintenance Course and others.
